Klamath River RV Park (Klamath, Calf.) 10/2/2012

A Coast to Coast member park in Northern California.
One of our favorite spots so far.

Spots were close together but the view out our back window
was the Klamath River. Beautiful!

Klamath River

More river view from our backyard.

Ocean area near where the Klamath River ended.

Bunny spotted starfish!

Giant Redwood trees in this area. This place explained
Paul Bunyan and his ox Babes role
in the timber industry, I didn't know
they were real.

A B.A.T. in the redwood forest.

Bunny the photographer

"Big Tree"

Incredible!

Bunny trying to hide.

Met some great people here. Me and Marty kayaked the Klamath
River down to where it emptied into the Pacific.
Then we had to paddle back!
Marty and his wife Kay live in Wheat Ridge, CO.
Also met Les and Helen from Washington. Great folks, had
a lot of laughs and Les and I took a hike through the redwoods.
Spectacular trail that ended overlooking the ocean.
Bunny and Helen forgot to pick us up,
so we had to hike much further than we planned.
Bless their hearts!

Marty
Happy me!

See the seal in the river?

Sunset Bay (Charlston Bay, Oregon) 9/26/2012

One of Oregon's State Parks on the coast.
Beautiful place!
View out our back window

View of our trailer from the neighbors.

Entrance to the park.
Garden Acres Park near where we camped.
This was the home of a rich Oregon Family in the early 1900's.
It is now a state park with the gardens restored.

Dahlia's in the garden.

A weird tree and me.

Quite a place, beautiful gardens and buildings.

This was a great spot for Bunny to showcase her
 photography skills.

View of the ocean on the trail from camp to the garden
park. Some very tall cliffs that Boss wanted to jump
off of but I begged him not to.

Me and Boss waiting for sunset to get some pictures.

Worth the wait to see Sunset Bay at Sunset.

Ready to go to California!

Neskown, Oregon 9/12/2012

Our first stop on the Oregon Coast.
Stayed here through R.O.D.

Baby Boy had never seen such a big water hole!

Taking a well deserved beach break.

Chinook Bend (Lincoln City, Oregon) 9/16/2011

A R.O.D. membership resort abot a quarter mile from the ocean,
and just a few miles from Lincoln City.

A great place to stay, right on the Siletz River
This old barn was the park
office/store/rec room.

Grass along the Siletz River

River front

More river

Lot's of salmon "fishing" on the Siletz.
Didn't see much salmon "catching".
Talked to some of the fisherman, said it was "slow,
should have been here last year."
Story of my life!

One of the trails in the park. Lot's of blackberries
growing here. Baby boy and I would
walk this every morn and pick and eat berries!

Also a good place to poop

Blackberries grow in this area like weeds.
We picked a bunch and Bunny made me
the best pie I'd ever eaten!

More Siletz

Waiting to try some Lincoln City chowder

Love good clam chowder!

Enjoying the ocean view.......

(new experience)
Checking out the ocean........

Maybe just a little closer now........

RUN, Everyone run for your life........

Not so scary with my dad by my side.

Fort Running Bear (Mountian Home, Idaho) 9/7/2012

N.
N.E. of Mountain Home, ID.
The campground owners and workers were some very friendly
folks. One of the workers, Paula, was a 1969 graduate of
Jefferson High in Edgewater, CO. just like me!
What a small world.

Pretty and quiet spot, there was hardly any other campers.
Major forest fires in Idaho was keeping
people away.
Not many campers, but they still made great pancakes for me
and Bunny on the weekend.

Behind the camground there is the largest seed tater patch
in the world. Deer sure do like to munch
on tater plants.
Most evenings there would be up to 100 deer munching
on the tater plants.
