Chinook Bend (Lincoln City, Oregon) 9/16/2011

A R.O.D. membership resort abot a quarter mile from the ocean,
and just a few miles from Lincoln City.

A great place to stay, right on the Siletz River
This old barn was the park
office/store/rec room.

Grass along the Siletz River

River front

More river

Lot's of salmon "fishing" on the Siletz.
Didn't see much salmon "catching".
Talked to some of the fisherman, said it was "slow,
should have been here last year."
Story of my life!

One of the trails in the park. Lot's of blackberries
growing here. Baby boy and I would
walk this every morn and pick and eat berries!

Also a good place to poop

Blackberries grow in this area like weeds.
We picked a bunch and Bunny made me
the best pie I'd ever eaten!

More Siletz

Waiting to try some Lincoln City chowder

Love good clam chowder!

Enjoying the ocean view.......

(new experience)
Checking out the ocean........

Maybe just a little closer now........

RUN, Everyone run for your life........

Not so scary with my dad by my side.

  1. Kay and I enjoyed kayaking the river here also. We went down as far as the bridge on Hwy 101.
