Pahrump, Nevada, 11/6/2012

Preferred RV Resort is a ROD Resort, a nice park

but Pahrump Nevada was a bit rough.

We planned on staying a week through our campground

membership, R.O.D. We liked it here so we extended

our stay another week.

Clean park, friendly folks, and they had a salt water

swimming pool

Pahrump is close to Death Valley. We took several day trips 

here.

When we got to Furnace Creek Oasis in Death Valley,

there was a 49er celebration going on. This is an 

annual festal commemorating the 1849 Gold Rush.

Lot's of cowboys and the Borax 20 mule team was there.

Took this picture from Badwater Basin which is 282

Bass Lake, Californa, 10/22/2012

Bass Lake Resort is a Coast to Coast member  Park.

Nice place, about 20 miles from the south

entrance of Yosemite Natl. Park.

Leaves were turning, park laid out nicely.

We were here for Halloween. Actually had a lot of trick 

or treaters. They took most of Bunny's candy.

She was not pleased!

Met up with Marty and Kay from Wheat Ridge, CO. again.

Marty took our picture and Kay taught me how to 

beat Marty at cards!

We were here too late in the year for big waterfall viewing

in the Park. Most were dried up.

One of Yosemite's famous rocks. It is huge and people actually

climb this!

Took a ride on "The Sugar Pine Railroad"

just outside of Yosemite. This was a big logging 

area years ago.

The Giant Sequoia trees here are even bigger than the 

Giant Redwoods in Northern California.

Fire had burnt a hole through the tree,

but it's still alive.

Gigantic, made me feel tiny.

Used to be able to drive through this tree,

but cars no longer allowed here.

Lots of initials carved inside here, some from 

as far back as the 1890's!

Woodson Rv (Corning, Californa) 10/11/2012

       Woodson Bridge RV Park in Corning, CA.

On the bank of the Sacramento River.

Met up with Bunny's brother Jack and his lovely wife Kathy here.

Birdie showed up too. She was on Fall break from school.

Kathy's dad lives in Corning, we got together

with her dad and other family members for breakfast.

Drove to and spent a night in San Francisco to eat 

and see the sights.

Birdie made us take a boat to Alcatraz.

Hiking at Black Butte near Corning

Extra Virgins?

Lucero's are a family of olive growers and olive

oil producers in Corning. They had some good stuff here!

Corning is the Olive Capital of America.

Klamath River RV Park (Klamath, Calf.) 10/2/2012

A Coast to Coast member park in Northern California.

One of our favorite spots so far.

Spots were close together but the view out our back window 

was the Klamath River. Beautiful!

Met some great people here. Me and Marty kayaked the Klamath

River down to where it emptied into the Pacific.

Then we had to paddle back!

Marty and his wife Kay live in Wheat Ridge, CO.

Also met Les and Helen from Washington. Great folks, had

a lot of laughs and Les and I took a hike through the redwoods.

Spectacular trail that ended overlooking the ocean.

Bunny and Helen forgot to pick us up,

so we had to hike much further than we planned.
