Made it to Ingram, in the Texas Hill Country

Johnson Creek RV Park is a nice place and is in a Pecan 

orchard.

Orchard a good place to run the dog

This is the tractor they use to harvest pecans. The attachment

on the back wraps around the tree and shakes the tree

really hard and the nuts fall to the ground.

Every morning and evening a herd of these Axis Deer

came into the orchard to feed

There is a chapel at the RV Park for Sunday services,

weddings, and funerals.

Boss and his vary close friend "Cooper"

Carlsbad, New Mexico 1/8/2013

Stopped in Carlsbad on the way to Texas

Visited the famous caverns, quite a sight.

Took the self guided tour of the caverns and a guided tour that went

to newer opened areas. At one stop they shut off the lights

to  show how dark it is. Spooky! 

                                       Before we got to our destination in Ingram, we just had
                                         to stop in Ft. Stockton, Texas to see the giant
                                                             Roadrunner. Got big ones in Texas!

Elephant Butte, New Mexico 1/6/2013

Before Christmas we dropped the trailer off near Elephant Butte,

NM. at Cedar Cove RV Park in Truth or Consequences.

Nice place, lot's of country for Boss to run.

                                                    On  the way to EB on Route 66 in
                                                                       Gallup, NM.

Had dinner in Gallup at the El Rancho

Hotel, where many Hollywood types 

like John Wayne stayed at while filming 

Cowboy movies. Interesting place! 

Hot Springs we soaked in, Truth or Consequences

                                                     Hot springs were on the bank of the Rio
                                                    Grande River, which didn't have much
                                                        water in it while we were there.

Sams Town/ Las Vegas, Neveda 11/19/2012

Met up with Birdie and Pear in Vegas for Thanksgiving.

Had a fabulous Buffet at the Mirage.

Ate and ate and ate!!

When you tire of gambling and eating in Vegas, you

visit Boulder Dam.

Sams Town had it all, RV Park, casino, Buffet, bowling,

movie theatre, and right across the street, Walmart!
